Manufactured Food And Drink

The following items are made regularly in the Fregraf settlements

Corn Cakes

A cross between a savour pastry and unleavened bread - this delicay takes the place of bread or hard tack in daily life

Game Stew

meats and vegetables cooked together in a pot. In a private house they might be more specific - ie rabbit stew with carrots and beans. In inns/restaraunts - they tend to have a more eclectic approach - with what ever meat and veg they have all thrown intogether. Expect a mixture of rabbit, Venison, Mushroom, bean, corn and Carrot all in one pot.

Meat Pasty

A circle of corn pastry laid flat and one half piled with meat and mushrooms before the other half is folded across the top and sealed - making a semi ciruclar pie. Corn pastry is fairly crumbly and the pasty needs to be wrapped if they are to be carried.

Fruit Pasty

A circle of corn pastry laid flat and one half piled with fruit before the other half is folded across the top and sealed - making a semi ciruclar pie. Corn pastry is fairly crumbly and the pasty needs to be wrapped if they are to be carried.

Dried Meat

Jerky - Biltong - Meat from various animals air dried to preserve it.

Dried Fruit

Trail Mix - Bits of all the local fruits dried and preserved. makes a good dessert or snack while you are out and about.

Highland Wine

The Vini Berry has an unusual property of starting to ferment just as it starts to rot. Crushed crab apples mixed with almost rotting Vinni berries, a little Honey and water - can be fermented together to make a fairly dry apple wine, which is almost green in colour.

Vinibuze Wine

A different version of Vini Berry wine - made by Wen tribesmen and sold locally. This time mixed fruits and herbs are used insted of just crushed apples. The wine has a fuller taste - and is a yellowy-brown colour.

Mountain Ale

Again the Vini Berry comes into its own. Cave Moss, Corn, vini berry and honey makes a passable ale. (using all moss also works but it has a very thin taste. More corn gives a richer and tastier ale - but corn is needed every where)
